The past weekend’s fights were definitely some exciting fights. Viewers tuned in from all over to watch the night’s fight. According to Bloody Elbow, the night brought in 2.9 million viewers (average) with a peak of 3.4 million viewers. This is a slight decline of the PBC debut from last month, but still strong numbers that display the viewers are tuning in to the program.
The night starting off with Peter Quillin vs. Andy Lee gave the crowd what they wanted to see; a great fight! Peter Quillin, aka Kid Chocolate, connected early in the first round to knock down Andy Lee. Andy Lee proved to be a fighter as he continually got up and fought like a champion. Judges scored this bout to be a draw.
The second bout was with Lamont Peterson vs. Danny Garcia. Danny won the early rounds and came out strong, yet Lamont Peterson finished the fight strong. These fighters proved to be warriors. The fight ended with the judges scoring the fight so close yet, ultimately with Danny Garcia on top. All of the fighters on April 11 did an amazing job and they proved to be warriors and the future of boxing!
